Embark on journeys through Curiosity, Inspiration and Expression.
Genghis Khan: The Exhibition
Genghis Khan: The Exhibition takes visitors on a journey back to 13th century Mongolia with stunning re-creations of Mongolia’s grasslands and battlegrounds, complete with archaeological artifacts and weaponry of the Mongol Empire.
It tells the story of Genghis Khan whose innovation, technological mastery and cultural creativity gave the legendary conqueror the reputation of one of the world’s greatest yet most misunderstood leaders.
With over 200 rare authentic treasures – the largest collection of Genghis Khan artifacts ever assembled – from the conqueror’s reign, visitors can touch, see and even smell scenes of Mongolian life and develop a deeper understanding of Genghis’ time.
The exhibition will shed light on the influence the Mongol empire had on culture, international law and finance even to this day. Visitors can also get an insight into how many of our modern-day inventions such as the passport, paper money, libraries and even trousers can be attributed to the vision of one of the world’s greatest innovators.
Highlights

2011 02 16 - Los Santos Inocentes
Directed by: Mario Camus
Starring: Alfredo Landa, Terele Pávez, Belén Ballesteros, Juan Sachez, Susana Sánchez, Francisco Rabal, Ágata Lys, Agustín González, Juan Diego, Mary Carrillo
Release date: 1984
Running time: 105 min
Los Santos Inocentes
The Innocent Saints
Meant to reflect the harsh realities of segments of society in 1960s, Franco-era Spain, this slow-moving, drawn-out story is about a struggling, impoverished family who work on the estate of a wealthy aristocrat. Paco (Alfredo Landa) is the head of his small family who constantly tries to placate his irascible overlords and also teaches them how to hunt birds. His wife Régula (Terele Pávez) is as subservient as Paco.
The family is rounded out by a mute, crippled daughter, a son away at military service, and Azarias (Francisco Rabal), an uncle whose mental stability is in question. These individuals are contrasted with Iván (Juan Diego) who rules over them with a detached incomprehension that brands the family as not much different than the animals he hunts. Iván has no compunction about shooting Azarias's pet bird, or forcing Paco to continue with a bird hunt even though he has fallen and broken his leg. Given the insane behavior of the aristocratic Ivan, the half-crazy Azarias might be the only one to get through to him on his own level.
